Some notes we received from our guests;

Dear Paul and Sia,

We’d like to thank you for the beautiful weeks we spent at your house. Initially we weren’t sure what to expect, since two weeks with our grandchildren could easily turn into a working vacation, but it turned out to be far from that!
We had a totally relaxing time and also our children, with and without their kids, had a terrific time.
Thanks to the lay-out of your house we had our privacy whenever we needed it and also there was more than enough space for everyone in the garden and pool area around the house. We have beautiful memories of the evenings you prepared your delicious meals for us and we finished the few boxes of local wine we took back home with us a lot sooner than we expected (..!)
Thanks so much for your hospitality, but there’s one thing that we realized later: we forgot to pay the babysit, Paul took care of that but never brought it up again. Is it okay with you that we get even next year when we come back?
Thanks so much again and we hope to see you soon,
All our best,

Eleanore and Stephen Cartwright.

Dear mr and mrs Haverkort,

Normally we never really write a note about a holiday we had. But this holiday we didn’t just have, but we totally enjoyed this one.
You have certain hopes and expectations about a holiday trip, but this one exceeded our expectations by far! The house was rather spacious for just the four of us and the luxury of having the pool just for us was tremendous.
Sia, you really seem to have a passion for spoiling people and we didn’t really dare to ask for again another evening with one of your tasty meals, but we did..and your enthusiasm was heartwarming.
We’ll remember our evening conversations for a long, long time and we’ll never forget the croissants you brought us that morning by the pool.. Thanks so much again, you really made our holiday unforgettable!
Warm regards,

Arlette and William Hogan,

Dear owners of La Vernède,

On behalf of our family I’d like to thank you for your caring hospitality we enjoyed at your house. As usual we arrived rather tired and that’s quite an understatement. But within a matter of days everyone relaxed. Ofcourse that has a lot to do with the peaceful surroundings and the soothing climate, but you helped us so much with that. The two of you showed us to adjust to a slower pace of life and to appreciate the seemingly smaller and simpler things so normal in the French way of life. And that not every tomatosauce is the same..
Thank you very much again and hope to see you again next year.
Kind regards,

Family Hagendoorn,
